Welcome to the 2017 CT COLT Fall Conference

Dear Members,

This year CT COLT is excited to announce that the 2017 Fall Conference will take place at the Radisson Hotel in Cromwell, CT. This is an exciting new venue with its own separate entrance that promises to delight Conference attendees on both a personal and professional level.

The Connecticut Ballroom with its spacious assembly area for the keynote address, the Grand Ballroom, a large exhibit area, break out rooms both large and small, and pleasant sitting areas, such as the atrium and the Wine-Down Room prove that the selection of this conference site was made with Connecticut's dedicated World Language teachers in mind.

The Fall Conference Planning Committee again welcomes participants to a sit-down lunch buffet where they can network with other professionals and discuss ideas together. There will also be coffee and breakfast in the morning and a snack in the afternoon.

The Planning Committee therefore encourages you and your colleagues to attend the 2017 conference with its theme of World Languages: A CAN-DO MindsetYour presence as a presenter or a participant is very valuable to you and all of your colleagues.. Please consider submitting a proposal.

To submit a proposal, click here.

Please see the information below regarding the structure of the registration fees and deadlines after this letter. Even though the Radisson Hotel offers FREE PARKING, we suggest that you carpool if at all possible to be more environmentally green and to save some green for you.

We are planning to send out the fall conference brochure with workshop listings in late July/early August.  Since the registration rates are structured by postmark date (see below), it is important that you register early and PAY LESS!  Since at this year's conference, we will have a buffet luncheon, we recommend very strongly that people PRE-REGISTER for the conference and NOT wait to register onsite. Onsite registration will add a $30.00 surcharge to your registration fee.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the Radisson Hotel in October!
