EdCamp CT COLT for Language Teachers @CCSU

About

EdCamp CT COLT is an “Unconference” for World Language educators, co-organized with Central Connecticut State University. The event, organized by CT COLT and the CCSU Modern Language Department, is modeled after "Edcamps," and allows attendees to propose, present, or attend any sessions created that day. After three forty-five minute sessions, attendees participate in a "smackdown" where all learning is shared.

The EdCamp CT COLT @CCSU on May 9, 2020 has been canceled.

As an alternative to the in-person EdCamp, the organizing committee would like to offer some informal webinars to encourage collaboration and connection during this time of social distancing and distance learning.

Virtual Unconference

Topics might include “Distance learning must-have online tools for Language teachers” or “Effective ways to give students feedback” or “Interesting ways to foster collaboration and student communication over a teleconference platform” or anything else that you want to discuss with other amazing language teachers.

When:  Our first webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m.

What:  These webinars through Zoom will be informal and will not be recorded.  The webinars are in the same model as “edcamps,” which follow the “unconference” format, driven by participant interest, and may include different digital breakout rooms.

To register:  Please complete this registration form.  A few days before the event, we will send you the link for the Zoom meeting.

Our aim, as your Edcamp CT COLT committee, is to provide a platform to help to support you.
